Two wheeler riders without helmet cannot enter NMMC headquarters
Navi Mumbai / Belapur: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation
(NMMC) has taken a step ahead for convincing bikers to wear a helmet. At least
those who have work at the corporation’s head office. The NMMC office premises
has been declared as a ‘Campus With Helmet’ premises, permitting only those who
wear a helmet while riding two wheelers.
The initiative has been spearheaded by the municipal
commissioner, Ravindra Patil, supported by the city traffic police.
The corporation believes that they would be contributing in
their own way as many who throng the NMMC office every day will have to make it
a habit to wear helmets.
