Kharghar / Panvel: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be addressing a huge rally at Kharghar on 16th October, 2019. Preparations have already been made for the mega political event to be held on a ground near Central Park.
If things go as planned then PM Modi will be arriving on a helicopter on the ground next to Central Park and would be traveling to the main venue, another ground in sector 29, on a motored vehicle. He would be addressing the rally at 4:00 pm.
The police department has been on their toes since days and have deployed around 1600 personnel to secure the event.
This would be the third visit of Raigad by the PM since 2014 and BJP enthusiasts and supporters are overwhelmed. Around 50000 people are expected to congregate at the event.
The PM will share the dais with five BJP candidates who would be spearheading the BJP party in the upcoming elections.

Kharghar / Navi Mumbai / Panvel: A two-day photo exhibition, celebrating the life journey of Prime Minister Modi, will be held in Little World Mall, commencing on 21st September, 2019.

New Delhi / Navi Mumbai: City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Ltd (CIDCO) recently awarded Larsen & Toubro (L&T) the contract to construct 23,432 dwelling units at various locations in Navi Mumbai.
Though the value details have not been disclosed, the contract falls under the ‘major’ category ranging between Rs 5,000 crore and Rs 7,000 crore according to the classification of contracts, L&T mentioned in a regulatory filing.

The project will be a major push towards realizing the dreams of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Low-Income Group (LIG) under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).

Navi Mumbai: The most eagerly awaited and delayed greenfield Navi Mumbai International Airport received a major push on Saturday as L&T Construction, one of the biggest names in the construction segment, was awarded the contract to build it. L&T successfully grabbed the contract from among four other companies that had showed interest in the tenders floated last year by Navi Mumbai International Airport Private Limited, for the engineering, procurement and construction of the airport.
The construction, that will be in phases considering the gigantic size and design of the project, will see construction of one runway with an airport terminal capable enough to cater up to 10 million flyers every year. The key development spectrum covers departure and arrival forecourts, a 3,700m-long runway, apron systems, taxiway systems, ground lighting among other facilities.

Zaha Hadid Architects, a renowned name in the industry, has designed the passenger terminal building that can handle 20 million flyers a year in phase 2. If things go as planned, the terminal design could be unveiled in two months’ time.
GVK founders believe that the Navi Mumbai International Airport will be nothing like seen before and will be even better than Terminal 2 of the Mumbai airport.
While all of this sounds good, the issue of land procurement that still continues to haunt the authorities needs to be resolved at the earliest. Five villages are yet to clear the land plan and are planning a protest in mid-September outside CIDCO’s headquarters, demanding the right compensation among other things.

Navi Mumbai: The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) approved a 19,000-crore plan to build 94,000 affordable houses/flats in the city as part of PM Narendra Modi’s flagship housing for all by 2022 scheme.
Officials informed that out of the total 94,000 houses that will be built, 53,000 will be low income group (LIG) and the remaining for the economically weaker section (EWS) category. The houses will be strategically built in close proximity to railway stations, bus stops and truck terminals. The construction will commence once the projects get registered under RERA.

Navi Mumbai: A.B. Misal, the new municipal commissioner wants the NMMC to rank up in the next Swachh Survekshan contest that will be held in 2020. Hardly a week into his new role as the new civic chief, he held a meeting with senior and middle level employees to discuss things further.
During the meeting that was attended by the additional municipal commissioner, Mahavir Pendhari and deputy municipal commissioner (solid waste) Tushar Pawar along with other officials, Misal praised the efforts of the corporation for having performed well in the contest in the past, and also winning awards on various levels. He also emphasized on the need to reach out to the slums and villages in a bid to cover maximum ground for the forthcoming contest.

He further directed officials to ensure that public toilets in all the wards across the city functioned at their best so that the city got ‘double plus’ rating for open defecation free (ODF).
Citizens are hoping that the city will be cleaner than before under the new leadership.

Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) will now be led by a new municipal commissioner, Annasaheb B Misal, who was also the joint CEO of MIDC. The IAS officer will be succeeding former civic chief, Ramaswami N, who has been designated as the labour commissioner in Mumbai.
Misal shared that he had plans of his own for the betterment of the city and take it forward from where the former chief had successfully left. On the top of his priority list he had matters like encroachment, cleanliness among other issues that plague Navi Mumbai.

Misal holds a degree in Development Studies from Institute of Social Studies, Hague, and a Masters in Science, specialising in Agricultural Entomology from the Marathwada Agricultural University.
Misal has successfully held positions as additional collector in Mumbai, deputy secretary (relief and rehabilitation), superintendent of stamps in Mumbai and deputy commissioner (revenue) Kokan division.

Raigad/Mumbai: The Mumbai 3.0 Real Estate Business Summit will be featuring interactive edutainment sessions with Channel Partners of the event along with panel discussions and presentations by eminent speakers from various development agencies and the development fraternity on a whole.
Also, senior officials from the Panvel Municipal Corporation, CIDCO, MSRDC and MMRDA will be throwing light on the growth prospects in the Raigad MMR region.
The event will be held at CIDCO Exhibition Centre located at Vashi on July 18, from 2:30 pm.
