Kharghar to get new DMart store in sector 36 soon

The strategically located plot bought for the new DMart store, slated to come up in a few years, will cater to the entire Taloja area and beyond.

Kharghar / Panvel / Navi Mumbai:  The owners of the popular hypermarket retail chain DMart – Avenue Supermarts Limited,  have bought a huge land parcel in Kharghar to build another grand store in the node. This one will help them reach out to Taloja, owing  to its proximity to the plots located in sector 36 of Kharghar.

Two plots, measuring  1962 sqm and 2963 sqm were bought by the company at Rs 40.49 crores, through an e-auction held by CIDCO. A total of 20 plots were auctioned in Kharghar, Panvel, and Pushpak Nagar.

Avenue Supermarts Limited is said to have won two bids for a patch of two adjoining plots numbered 28 and 29, in sectore 36, Kharghar. The results were declared on the official site of CIDCO on 26th November 2021.

Both plots are residential-cum-commercial with 1.5 FSI

The plots can be used for constructing residential-cum-commercial complexes. The  1962.13 sqm plot had a base price of Rs 55,861 per sqm.,  and the 2963.64 sqm plot was based at at Rs. 68,557 per sqm. Avenue Supermarts Limited won both the bids as they made the highest bid of Rs 67,500 per sqm.

New DMart will be better situated to target the residents of Taloja and surrounding areas

Although there has been no official confirmation on the development plan, and whether it will be a residential as well as commercial project by the company, what’s obvious is that it will be a strategic location for the new DMart store, which will be able to drive in huge business from the Taloja node.

At present, residents of Taloja have to travel a long way to reach the DMart store at sector 15, near Gharkul.

The new DMart store, once constructed, will be a time saver for shoppers coming in from Taloja and other areas till Roadpali at one end and Dahisar Mori at another.

It will also drive in new shoppers who have been avoiding shopping at the existing store in Kharghar, owing to the distance and transportation hassles.

P.S. –There has been no official statement from Avenue Supermarts Limited regarding the development plan and we are simply speculating the obvious.
