On 13th January 2024, CIDCO Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Mr. Vijay Singhal, chaired a critical review meeting at CIDCO Bhavan to assess the progress of major infrastructure projects in Navi Mumbai. Among the key projects discussed were the much-anticipated Navi Mumbai International Airport, the expansive Mega Housing Projects, and the NAINA development. The meeting was aimed at reviewing current progress, identifying challenges, and ensuring timely execution of these landmark initiatives.
Projects crucial for Navi Mumbai’s development
Highlighting the importance of these initiatives, Mr. Singhal spoke about the far-reaching impact they would have on the city, state, and country. “The various ambitious projects being implemented by CIDCO are important for the development of Navi Mumbai as well as the state and the country,” he stated.

He further emphasised the importance of meeting deadlines, saying, “The progress of the project work is satisfactory and the concerned officers have been instructed to complete the work within the time limit for the speedy implementation of the project.” Mr. Singhal made it clear that the focus is on overcoming challenges quickly and ensuring that all projects are completed within their timelines.

In his review, Mr. Singhal also emphasised the importance of coordination and transparency among all stakeholders involved in these large-scale developments. Particularly with complex projects like the Navi Mumbai International Airport and the Mega Housing Scheme, he highlighted that smooth communication is key. “I have given important instructions to all the officers present regarding the coordination and transparency required among all the stakeholders for the projects like Navi Mumbai International Airport and mega housing scheme,” he said, underlining the need for unified efforts across all agencies.
