Renting a Yulu cycle, charges and other things to know

How to use Yulu cycles and the charges involved

Navi Mumbai: Yulu bikes have been covering major nodes with Kharghar being the newest one to flag off the service. While it has been talk of the town, many still find themselves wondering about the way to use the service. We simplify it for you.

To begin with, Yulu brings forth two versions, one called the Yulu Move, which is a cycle and the other, Yulu Miracle, which is an electric bike. In all, they present the most advanced vehicle sharing solution presently available in the city. With a fleet of beautiful & functional vehicles powered by GPRS, GPS and Bluetooth technology it gives freedom to rent as per convenience of time and location. You can rent it from any pickup point, drop it at any drop point in the area, or simple take it home for that matter.

Getting started

First, you have to download the Yulu app from Playstore and register yourself for the service. You will have to make a minimum deposit of Rs 100 in their digital wallet to get started. Once registered, you will gain access to a fully functional app that will show you all the pickup points in the city and you can go to the nearest one to rent a cycle.

Renting a cycle/bike from a pick-up point

Once at the pickup point, you will need to scan the QR code available on the lock with your mobile phone. The lock will open automatically on successful verification.

You can then take the cycle anywhere you wish to and when done with your day’s ride, park it at any of the Yulu Zones available around. Ensure that you close the lock manually and press the end ride button in the App. The charge for the ride will be deducted from the balance available in the wallet.

Charges of renting a cycle/bike

Now, coming to the charges, Yulu Move charges Rs 10 for the first 30 minutes and then Rs 5 for every 30 minutes. Just remember that they have pause charges as well so if you don’t end your ride and keep it on pause then they charge Rs. 5 for every 30 minutes and Rs. 30 maximum between 6:00pm to 10:00am. So that allows you to keep it at home for that period.

The charges of Yulu Miracle, or the electric bike, are a little different with Rs. 10 for unlocking the bike, then Rs. 10 for every 10 minutes of the ride. The pause charges are Rs. 5 for every 30 minutes and Rs. 90 maximum between 6:00pm to 10:00am.

Simple, isn’t it? Go along, rent a cycle, Ride the Change!

Hey JP, well, the charge to unlock YULU Miracle – Rs. 10 and then Rs. 10 for every 10 minutes or less. That makes it Rs. 20 in your case. Don’t really know why they charged Rs. 30. You should contact Yulu Bikes Customer Support at support@yulu.bike or through YULU Bikes customer care contact page at https://www.yulu.bike/contact/
