Kharghar, Navi Mumbai – The Bengali Cultural Association welcomed Maa Durga for the highly-anticipated Durgotsav, on Tuesday, 8th October, amid great pomp and gaiety. The festival, which is one of the most significant festivals for the Bengali community, symbolising the triumph of good over evil, will mark a series of elaborate rituals, cultural performances, and feasting.
The 5-day celebrations will be held on the ground floor of the under-construction premises of the Bengali Cultural Association Kharghar, next to the Kharghar Gurudwara, in sector 22.
The Bengali Cultural Association Kharghar, has planned grand celebrations for the next five days which will conclude on Vijaya Dashami (13th October).
Residents of Kharghar are invited to join the festivities and enjoy the prasad and bhog.
