NMMC’s “Short Film” and “Jingle” contest

As a part of its community engagement activity, the civic body has come up with two innovative contests this year.

NMMC’s “Short Film” and “Jingle” contest

Vashi / Navi Mumbai: The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has invited budding short film makers and musicians for two innovative contests to be held as a part of the Swachh Survekshan 2022, the last date of submission of which is today, 27th December, 2021.

The first contest is for those willing to produce creative and original short films on one or more of the three topics selected for the Swachh Survekshan 2022. Winning film/s will be screened during a special event on 30th December 2021.

All enthusiastic short film makers can participate freely in the contest and base their works on the following requirements:

Topics

  • My City – My Participation
  • Plastic-free Navi Mumbai
  • 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle)

Duration of the film

2 minutes to 5 minutes (with credits)

Last date of submission

27th December 2021 (till midnight)

Screening date of winning movies

A special screening of all winning short films will be held on 30th December 2021

Prizes/Awards

  • 1st Prize – Rs 25,000
  • 2nd Prize – Rs 15,000
  • 3rd Prize – Rs 10,000

All budding musicians can participate in the jingle competition and produce original pieces that will be used as the theme for NMMC’s cleanliness endeavour.

The NMMC had recently held a “Plog Run” too at Vashi under the Swachh Survekshan 2022 activity, and the short film and singing contests are an extension of their awareness endeavour.

(On a funny note, the NMMC has not been very vocal about these competitions and so, many have not heard about it yet. Also, there has been no confirmation on details like how to and where to submit (getting through their numbers has become harder than ever).
