Navi Mumbai / Mumbai: Citizens from Navi Mumbai, Thane and Bhiwandi came out in a protest rally against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) on Saturday. In Nerul (East), around 400 citizens staged a peaceful demonstration against the CAA, while in Vashi around 600 people, mostly BJP members, supporters and other citizens held a rally supporting the CAA.
In Bhiwandi, Congress workers rallied against the CAA and the National Register of Citizens (NRC). They also went ahead and handed out a memorandum to the sub-divisional officer (SDO), seeking the revoking of the act.
In Thane, many people rallied in favour of the CAA and NRC showing their support.
