Navi Mumbai: The City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Ltd. (CIDCO) is considering serving a notice to the Mumbai International Airport Limited (MIAL) for delay in commencement of work for the Navi Mumbai International Airport runway and terminal building. The managing director of CIDCO, Lokesh Chandra, has been in talks with officials to see if such a notice can be served.
MIAL holds 74% equity in the Navi Mumbai International Airport, while CIDCO holds 26%.
It may be noted here that the Navi Mumbai Airport has already been delayed owing to PAP compensation issues and now that CIDCO says to have progressed in acquiring the land in totality, the project is still being delayed.
